Revitalization

Pursuing God's design for His church

We believe that all healthy churches ought to be revitalizing to best live the Great Commission in an ever-changing culture.

Memorial Baptist Church is a Congregational church and in 2019 the congregation agreed and voted on a Revitalization Plan. Shortly after, Pastor Dawjr was hired in April 2021 to carry the revitalization plan forward.

This is an exciting time for us to join the mission and movement of God in St. George. We are expecting a very bright future for our church and our community!

Areas of Focus

As part of the Revitalization Plan, the congregation agreed upon these five areas of focus.

Discipleship

Discipleship will be a a common thread offered in every ministry environment. In addition, discipleship should be embedded into our daily lives, and into our normal rhythms of life, outside church building walls.

Leadership Development

Leadership development will be built into our framework for discipleship. At Memorial Baptist Church, people are a priority and their development as leaders is never a waste of time.

By-Laws

The by-law committee, pastor and leadership will work to revisit every area of our by-laws to best impact the next generation and the community with the Gospel

Evangelism

The church aims to better equip church members for personal evangelism. In addition, the church will continue to think of creative entry-points into St. George and the surrounding community. We believe that evangelism should be a natural part of every Christian's life.

Missions

The church is currently developing a missions team, in additional to developing both local and international partnerships to impact the world with the Gospel. We have a heart for the nations and church planting.
